I have a sandisk ssd plus that is 240gb that i bought this summer of 2016. I was able to start my computer and get into windows 10 n launched league n played music on spotify. But since i have a bad power cord to the psu so whenever someone opens or closes the door hard it turns off my pc. Its pretty normal so i just ignored it , but when i tried to turn it back ok it says error and it would tried to restart for some reason. Then i let it restart and it kept on saying its going to restart. And i went on my bios on my motherboard it doesnt pick up my ssd for some reason

Try going into your bios and make sure you have your boot drive listed as the first drive, though only after you've replaced that poor power cord you mentioned with one that's adequate and compatible with your psu (the right gauge preferably). If that still doesn't work, you can try to enter you OS in safe mode and choose to restore your system back to an earlier setting where it was working normally. There are more steps after that if neither work, but for now try the above and see how it goes.
Note: Always make sure you have some kind of surge protection for your PSU connection as well. Even the cheapest MOV surge protector is better than nothing, long as you remember they need to be replaced from time to time as they dont last forever.

So far its not picking up the ssd so i cant put it as first boot. Ive put in a old hdd and it was able to pick that up but not my ssd. I think i might have a dead ssd. But it was working earlier so it doesnt make any sense. I tried to go into safe mode but it doenst let me , it just keeps putting me into bios

Don't give up on the ssd just yet, though you may be right. Make sure to use Legacy and AHCI for WIN7 or lower, UEFI and AHCI for WIN8 and higher. Possibly try using another SATA3 port on your motherboard, or switch the cable for your ssd and make sure the connection both for info and power are snug. You probably already did that, but just saying. If there is another system you have access to, see if the SSD will work on it, depending on whether it does, it could save you unnecessary headaches and wasted time.
If you have the proper settings in your bios and your ssd isn't being detected by Windows, but it was able to recognize an older drive, it could mean your ssd is kaput. If your bios has the correct settings for your OS, SSD is properly connected to a working SATA3 port, and still not recognizing your SSD you could always (hopefully) RMA it if its under warranty.

Have you tried using Minitool Partition Wizard to see what that shows? I was having a similar issue with my 240 Gig Sandisk after I pulled it from it's brother that was in a raid. I couldn't use the drive and it required some trickery to get it working again.
