Pretty nice.. :D how do you like that card? I'm still using my cookie cutter machine.. ie..
nf7
2500@3200
9800pro
1.25g mushkin lvl2 3500 memory
80gb SATA HD
Super Lanboy Case

I built a similar machine with a 9800pro for a friend at school.. and i can say its crazy to see a same speced processor run apps visually better. Just the processor alone although it didn't bench too much different than mine at the time.. would handle the games graphics much smoother. Made me jealous :D.

46,510 , movin on up. 48k new goal. Maybe not.. :/

Looks like a great system. When will the parts arrive? Remember to show us the benchies when you get it all together and running stably.

left standard: 6.7 (Ram lets it down slightly needs water cooling to be silent and to OC more)

Awsome moniter and it is a good OC machine, and it will gobolle games up like a women on heat.

Overclocked to kingdom come: 8.5
Ram will still let it down slightly on OC, no sound card stated so onboard sound sucks, will get noisey with the fans as heat will build up (water cooling if you can still afford it).

Super fast hard drive i like, awsome motherboard (onboard sound sucks sorry) case sounds ok ~(good) but which model is it?
CPU is a excelent OC plus not much heat given off that as its a winchester.

Graphics card is excelent should keep you going for a long time.

Enjoy it.

Sorry guys, I'm not an overclocker, but wouldn't mind giving it a go. How do you benchmark the system? Is there a program that does it for you? How do you time the processes etc, etc?? I guess I'm not sure how it's performed, or the process? But, I sure would like to do it, I think it would be helpful. I have a feeling, if I cross that boundary, I won't be able to turn back, and I'll become a full blown computer nerd! :)

Read this <A HREF="http://www.ocia.net/articles/overclockingguide/page1.shtml" target="_new">Beginner Overclocking Guide</A> and step over that line! Rugger, Do you think I'll really gain that much performance from the Patriot (PDC1G3200LLK) memory? After buying Corsair, I don't think I can return the memory, even for an exchange of another product?

The pdc patriot mem they're talking about is 2x256...so you'd be going from 1gb to 512...the pdc patriot mem at 2x512 is 220-240. I bought some about two weeks ago.

and rx8...did u mean women in heat? =D

Current machines running F@H:
AMD: [64 3500+][64 3000+][2500+][2000+][1.3x1][366]
Intel: [X 3.0][P4 3.0][P4 2.4x5][P4 1.4]

The PDP LLK would probably OC better than the Corsair. If you've already bought the Corsair then don't worry about it.

No...the PDP I linked is 2X512MB. You are correct that it OCs to about 230-240Mhz with tight timings. It's not as good as the XBLK, but it's also ~$100 cheaper, too.

You should spend some time getting to know all the details of your new system before you jump off into Overclocking. So many people dont really understand how to Overclock or the possible consequences. Youve spent your hard earned money, now just enjoy that bad boy system. This link is one you should put in your favorites list, its got all of the benchmark and tweak software that you would ever want. <A HREF="http://www.benchmarkhq.ru/english.html?/b_e.html" target="_new">http://www.benchmarkhq.ru/english.html?/b_e.html</A>

Hey rugger, if you havent seen the website that I linked to in my last reply you should check it out.

<font color=red>Now that I have given up hope, I feel alot better</font color=red>

I've seen it and have it linked. I actually have a word doc with common links that I cut/paste into my posts here so I don't have to make up the same links over and over and over  ...will have to update the list with this link...

Thats a good idea, im glad I thought of it

Just kidding around! I really had never thought about using a word doc to save the links in. Im going to try that out. Eden has already been picking on me for not knowing how to use the Print/Scrn key

<font color=red>Now that I have given up hope, I feel alot better</font color=red>

You're a friggin genius! Where do you come up with these ideas?!

Can send you a copy of mine to start you out if you want.

On an NT machine right now. Will export favs work for XP Home and put it in the right format for THG forums? I have mine pretty well organized by topics so I don't have to search around for the right link.

Well...exporting it is good and fine...but it does make a mess that way...hrm. If you can post the file up...you could just link to it as a web page... <A HREF="http://home.comcast.net/~apesoccer/bookmark.htm" target="_new">Here...</A>

Or manually cut and paste for a while...
