I've created a Rescue Disk with Macrium Reflect, how does it work now?

I now have a Rescue .iso file I'll burn onto a Dvd/Cd and then how does it work?

I've never used a rescue media like this so I'd like to know how exactly it would help me in case I lost my current Windows install.

You boot from it and follow the onscreen prompts. It will ask you where your backup is and where you want to restore to, you tell it, then select what you want to restore. It's pretty straightforward to understand and use.
