Ever since I got this card, it's worked fine except at random times, it would lose its hdmi signal for a few hours/day then randomly start working. So today I tried to fix it by doing a clean install of it, deleting all of its drivers and such. Now, I just realized AMD doesn't have drivers for this anymore apparently?

I went to the drivers page, tried to the drivers but it only lets me install AMD Catalyst Manager, so it basically reinstalls itself (WTF?). I then try to download the autodetect utility but it tells me "We were unable to find a driver for your system, your operation system may not be supported." I'm running Win. 7 64 bit.

I've been stuck on this for 4 hours now, I am about ready to kick this crap card to the curb and buy a cheap one, expensive ones have never worked right for me.

well I guess take the card to someone who can install it to see if it does the same ?? or borrow a card to see if it properly installs on your s ?

we covered about all we can I would think - sounds like bad hardware in some way ???

I got to go for a wile i'll check back latter
like how ? its not showing as ''''standard vga graphics adaptor'' ? or what?

go to programs and features and check it see if the amd catylist install manager is listed if so click on it and do a express un install then re boot and see ?

I guess I should of said to besure anything you install before was now uninstalled then open computer and the top file should be amd - support . deleate it reboot - then I assume you downloaded the driver go to it and run it and get to install then custom install -- unselect everything it allows you to but the display driver and ccc. [for now ]

I just don't know - if the card was reconised as the primary display device with out the amd driver it should be showing up in device manager as ''''standard vga graphics adaptor'' and when you go to property's it should show as Microsoft standard vga driver [generic built in to windows driver]

if not then lets say the cards bad or something else on the board is ? with out a way to test things like having a known good back up card to see or another computer to check you card on you just running around in a loop

Thank you again for all your help, you put a lot of time into helping me. I like to think I know the basics of computers...I put mine together with almost no help, I help others with their computer needs but man...I haven't got a clue with this. I'm going to bring it to some professionals tomorrow, crossing my fingers it isn't defective, I cannot afford another GPU of this caliber 🙁

I'm thinking something in the card went bad ?? it was working then you said it started loosing connection or something and now cant detect driver packets ?

like I know if the drivers for this 7850 are good they should be as good for that card as well -- I do know I have issues with any of the 14.xx drivers on this card that's why I suggest the 13.12 I have no issues with it on 7000 cards at all -- with the 14 .xx drivers I get blurry text- flickering - blackscreens just to start , but the 13.12 driver works with out issue all day all week all month all year 24/7

so for me its a good driver to fall back on and use to test things
