Question I've scratched my motherboard

I've scratched my motherboard (z390-A pro) while installing an M.2. I've already had this build and have used it for a while before adding the new ssd. After installing the new m.2 (970 evo) the pc ran for a couple hours, then went into boot loops. After waiting a bit with the power off, I tried it again and it booted up for 5 minutes and then went back into boot loops. I turned it off overnight and then in the morning tried it again, the lights and fan turned on, but it didn't start POST. The EZ Debug CPU light was on. I then removed the cpu (i7-9700KF), inspected it, no damage, and placed it back in. Then it went back into booting for 5 min then boot loops. This happened even in bios.

Looks like you severed some traces, that's very BAD.

I had boot loop problems without scraching anything and the fault was that my psu had dust issues.

Depends on the depth of the scratch. If it's just surface abberation then shouldn't be an issue. If that's down to the pcb and those traces are severed it's toast, non-repairable

To save your time replace the motherboard. The last thing you want to continue is going on a bootloop over and over when you know your motherboard is toast.

Unless you know how to jump those traces with wires compliant to the standards required for wherever they're going (likely PCIe, which means godlike skill in soldering) you will have to replace it. Severed traces = dead motherboard.
