Ivy Bridge Processors

First things first i'm not a expert at Computers, wanting to know if i can change my CPU which is a Intel Core i5-3317u 1.7ghz overclocked to 2.4ghz. i searched some things up about an ivy bridge and it's some sort of flat cpu, maybe someone can tell me about how i can exchange my i5 for something better such as maybe an i7 or a better model of the i5
