very much so prefer them on my mouse. most combat actions i want on one hand while most movement and menu options on the other. but, i keep it relatively the same with every game if possible so there's not much new to remember most of the time.
if a game is designed well for PC it should have most functions available for binding. i see average between 15-30 options. i really don't like having menus, ingame actions, and everything spread all over my keyboard so this way i can keep it very limited. besides WSAD usually just 1-5, TAB, Q, E, F, Shift, C, V, Alt & Space. everything else will hopefully be bound to the mouse.

the few mouse options that i really can not do without anymore;
thumb buttons for crouch, prone, and/or sneak
my ring-finger button for melee, parry/block, or toss
and my scroll-tilt feature for fire rate & ammo type or for casting spells & doing special moves.
