Java installer wont work on windows 10

I've been trying to install java but the installer just looks like a blank window.

Hi,

Try to install Java in Safe Mode.
- Load the PC first into Safe Mode and try installing from there.
- According to Java support it shouldn't have any problem installing it from there.

Thank you for your response but this did not work.
I keep getting the same blank window! It is very frustrating.

Try downloading the Java 8 installer again, it might just be a corrupted file. If that doesn't work, run it in compatibility mode by right clicking, going to properties, and then setting compatibility to Windows 8, enabling run as administrator, and disabling high DPI scaling.

That is of course if you absolutely need the Oracle JVM at all. If you don't have necessary software that requires it, you should never install Java because it's a huge security risk with little use.

Thank you for your response basroil! Sadly, none of those options worked, I might just have to give up on installing java as I don't absolutely need it.

If anybody knows how to solve this problem please post a response with the solution!

Had the same problem.
I've done all according to Oracle help, but without luck (try disabling AntiAliasing in video card control panel).

Then, I've found this:
1. copy java installer file to root directory of C: partition (administrator rights needed)
2. launch Command Prompt window with administrator rights (Run as administrator)
3. type name of java installer file in Command Prompt window and press Enter

This is it, it's working!

This only works with the online installer, which means that you wont be able to download 64bit java.
