Hello!

I have windows 10 as OS and I work with it for 2-3 years.

I'm not sure if when I upgraded from windows 7 to 10 I had java installed in the upgraded version. Right now I don't have java and I tried to download it, got every file there is in the java.com. I run the .exe , press yes on "this file may make changes in your computer" and then...... nothing happens. Tried all files.
Is java getting canceled like adobe flash did, or is it going to be?

Why is that happening?

Are there configurations in windows 10 that may be the cause of this?

Source for Java?

Double check Java installation requirements: OS, hardware, etc...

Try another download - the original download file and/or installation attempt may have been corrupted in some manner.

If the installation effort fails again then look in Reliability History and Event Viewer for any related error codes, warnings, or informational events.

Start with Reliability History. Much more user friendly and the time line format may prove revealing.

Another place to look is Update History. There may be some relevant entry there as well.

I've tried every possible installation .exe there is out there.

I don't get any error or message. My pc just doesn't respond. I click the .exe icon , then I get the window from microsoft which says "This program may change your pc" (or something like that ). I press yes, then nothing..... For a second my cursor shows me that its working (hourglass cursors icon) , and then nothing.

I downloaded jreblahblah.exe from java.com and other similar .exe from that site.
Is it possible that other programs or games installed cause this ? Also java was coming with windows installation through updates if I remember correctly, did that change over time?

yeah, you are WASTING your time, you should get and use this. I believe Oracle made a mess with licensing the old java stuff.... use OpenJava instead, all our apps written for Java
run perfectly on it.

OpenJDK (java.net)

you can also look for the installer log file

JavaDeployReg.log found under the temp directory for your user. if there is an install issue it should be listed there

post a link to it so we can read it and find out what's going on

Hey everyone thanks for your time trying to help! The problem is solved. I did a simple format to my computer and everything works fine.

Before the format I was too many programs, installed and uninstalled to many games, and configured a lot my OS for the last 2-3 years. I believe this is the general cause for not letting me run java installation. Trying to figure out which program, or which free game, or OS config was interfering to that extend is like trying to find fleas in straw. So thanks again, this question may be considered a solved one.
