Is joust 2 any fun to play? I've never played it myself.
is it better than joust? I like joust.
I've heard different opinions on this, most of them said it wasn't as good.
You do you think?
What's the difference?

is take a joust2 over the original any day.

ive seen many joust experts get "jousted" quite easily in joust2. thank
goodness for the continue feature. the vertical monitor means you have
to become a better flying jouster. you can no longer skim across left
to right easily.

Joust 2 is a great filler piece for a Williams wall once you've collected
all of the "real" classics. The real problem with Joust 2 is the vertical
monitor. It just makes playing the game a little akward. Also, there's too
many enemies and items on the screen. There's a real sense of being cramped
while playing. Overall, I would only own one if I had everything else I
wanted first and was looking to get the odd ball titles. For most people,
space becomes a critical issue at some point when your collection gets big
enough. Joust 2 is just not worth the space it takes away from having a
better game. But then, that's just my opinion.

Fire it up in MAME and see what you think. Personally I don't like it
half as much as Joust. The extras are a cool idea (small birds to
kill, you can transform into a griffin, varying maps to play on, even
a 'destroy the robot' mode) but for some reason they went with a tall
screen mode (as opposed to Joust's regular "landscape mode") and so I
feel very claustrophic trying to fly around in such a confined space.

Thanks for all the input guys,

I didn't realize it could be run in mame, for some reason I was thinking it
could not be.
anyhow, after play it in mame. I'm with you on this one.
Some good features added, but I think I like joust better.
I could image a 2 player game would get really crowded.
I like the idea of flying horizontal better, to bad they went this route.

Troy,
