Hey community, before I swapped from 8.1 to 10 I had saved my bookmarks on ie to a json file. I didnt realize this until i installed windows and when i pulled up my bookmarks it wasnt in html. When i tried to import it to ie, it doesnt work plz help

If you are using a Microsoft online account and haven't specifically gone out of your way to disable synching of your account info, IE 11 will sync your favorites between the two OSs for you. If you choose to use the new Edge browser in Windows 10, you can still import your favorites from IE 11 after they sync, into Edge.

🙁 i never logged on microsoft acc cuz i never like bing and stuff. Heres the thing though, i exported my favorites (bookmark in ie) to a json file by accident, it was meant to be html, so now that ive switched to windows 10 i only have a json file of my bookmarks and when i try to import it to any of my browser it only accepts html

Not sure how you managed to accidentally export in the JSON format from IE as it doesn't support that format in the first place.

Using an online MS account has nothing to do with Bing, and stuff. If you have a Hotmail email account, you already have a MS account. 99% of it is just synchronizing settings and files between multiple computers if you log in with the same account.
