Hi guys,

Long time lurker, first time poster. Hoping you can help me solve an issue I seem to have created for myself.

So for a little bit of context - This is my current system (for the most part) http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02902545 - I've upgraded the PSU and GPU since purchasing, but the other components are still the same.

Recently I purchased a 970 Strix thinking it'd fit and work perfectly in this system, seeing as my CPU is pretty solid. Oh, I was VERY wrong. Having done some research into the subject, it seems as though my motherboard doesnt fully support UEFI, whereas high-end nvidia cards require full support.

With this said, here is my problem: What do I upgrade to make the system work 100% correctly? I have a budget of about £300-350 to make everything tick, but I don't want to purchase one component, only to find a bottle-neck elsewhere.

My current working specs are as follows:

GTX 670
i7 2600
550w PSU
2TB HDD
8GB RAM
(NO additional SSD's or sticks of memory).

I'm DESPERATE to find a correct, confident answer to my problem. I will reward the person that can help me totally with a copy of The Division which I received with my 970 as a token of my complete appreciation.

-A concerned, but hopeful user.

I'm not sure you totally understood my issue, could possibly be the way I presented the thread. But I have a 970, but it doesn't work (was a replacement to my current 670).

I'm looking for advice on components which would allow my system to work 100% correctly without any hidden little bottle-necks.
