Just Cause 2 Crashing on Windows 8

Just Cause 2 is always crashing on windows 8 in 5-10 minutes of playing... What would be the cause of these crashes... Could it be Just Cause 2 is not compatible running on Windows 8? or my graphics card (GTX 550 Ti)?

have you tried lowering the graphic settings? Sometimes just using high quality graphics can crash some games.

I'm playing it on the lowest graphics settings... and all off...

This answer, unfortunately, will not work for you since you have everything on lowest and off. However, what worked for me (and others) when I was experiencing JC2 crashing on my windows 8.1 machine was turning off "decals" in settings. It seems messing around with some of teh funny/weird/odd graphics settings does teh trick for people.
