Just curious, is there blue screen in Mac?

In windows, if a driver or hardware is going to spoil, blue screen and hanging are common symptoms. What happens in Mac?

(I have never use Mac before. Just a curious question)

Apparently yes. Luckly after 4 years of owning my first Macbook ever, I have yet to see one! Lucky? knock on wood.

My Macbook though sometimes annoys me with the BEACH BALL, this is the hour glass equivalent. I found out it's waiting for a network share resource, why, you dumb machine, a few seconds not there just give it up waiting for it! Still working on this problem.
