Just finished water cooling....having problems

Hey guys. I have a pair of msi lightning 7970s in crossfire and i just finished water cooling them with swiftech universal waterblocks. The problem is idle temps are fairly normal, but when i open a game or anything anywhere near being graphically demanding, the temps spike a huge amount. For example, in any game the get to around 100-102 and then the computer shuts down due to max temps. The temps were fine when air cooled, so does anyone have any suggestions? Is the thermometer in the gpu?
The block seems to be making pretty good contact with the gpu.

I would reseat the blocks because those temps are obviously not good should be like 60s max..
