Just installed Windows 7 on new SSD. How do I get my programs to install onto my HDD, not my SSD?

Whenever I download any new program or file, my downloads will go to my SSD and not HDD. I have tried the regedit steps, but I cannot find ProgramFilesDir in "Current Version". Is there any way to have my Program Files and Program Files(x86) in my HDD (D:) instead of my SSD (C:)?

I'd suggest you to create a program files folder onto the HDD and during the install change the install path to the HDD program files folder. :)

I followed these other steps, "Go to "C:\Users\YourName" > Right click on a folder (i.e Downloads) > Click "Properties" > Click "Location" Tab > Click "Move" > Select your secondary hard-drive. Congratulations, now all of your downloads will be saved on your secondary hard-drive and not your boot drive. Do this with other folders like "Documents", "My Pictures" etc and your all good in terms of files."

Would that work with the Program Files and Program Files (x86) folders?

Not sure though I think that windows would automatically create the folders again as they are kinda like system folders for applications, I'd still try to make new separate folders to the HDD but with similar folder names.
