Turn off the AA and you might be able to get to 1024.

hey , i dont think i shouldn`t be able to play NFS Most Wanted at 1024x768+2xAA !!
because 00MaxSE Said that he can play NFS Most Wanted at maximum detail and maximum resolution with x850xt (when you turn to maximum detail AA will be enable and set to 4x)
so why is that ? :?:

Try getting new drivers, i would be pissed off to if i had that problem, but you must remember just how fast an x850 is. Though with a 7800 you should be able to run it on full easily. I never use the normal setting in games, i always use the custom ones, so maybe try turning off some effects and putting the other stuff up a bit, however a low rez game with full effects is likely to look better than a hi res game with no effects, so it's your choice. But seriously, update your drivers, use a driver cleaner first.

Hey Rabidpeanut i told i have nvidia geforce 81.95 and nforce 4 (for amd) lastest driver !! i think that ATI is a winner in in NFS Most Wanted , but the point is its about car reflection when i turn it to OFF i can play at 1024x768 with full AA but it makes car look like a box without reflection !!
i prefer playing on 800x600 with full car reflection than 1024x768+4xAA without reflection !!!!
so any one here has the geforce 7 series and played NFS Most Wanted ??
i want to know that the problem is my system or is the Game !!

Oh, sorry i did not see that. Maybe ATI is just a winner here, but you should be able to run anything just fine with a 7800, i can run it no the setting you have with a 9600xt and a 3500+. Weird, i can't think of what it could be that could be doing this.

PX7800GT, I play it in 1280x1024 with everything at max. That's weird, your card should be able to do the same. 😱

Then there is definetely something wrong with your computer. Get all the diagnostic tools you can and show us the results, that may shed some light on the matter.

OK , I Dont Think Any thing Wrong With My System I Got 7000 Point in 3DMark 2005 , I Can Run FEAR at Maximum Detail With 4xAA , I Can Play Battle Field 2 at 1600x1200 at Maximum Setting with 4xAA !!
Any Way I Turn The "Car Reflection Update" into LOW and World Detail into MEDIUM , Now i can play it at 1024x768+4xAA and frame rate is good !!
I Think The NFS Most Wanted is an ATI Game !! (Maybe Not)
any one here has a Geforce 6 or 7 and play Most Wanted ?? if there is some one send his playing Details and resolution and fram rate !!

of course it without Sofshadows, because in FEAR when you use AA(Anti Aliasing) the soft shadow dont work , it doesnt matter i can disable AA and use SoftShadow , but i thinks the game looks greater with 4xAA than SoftShadows !!
So any Idea whats the problem with NFS Most Wanted ??
