yes, that is an overclockable system, even better than the one i listed, only 2 problems i see is that the ram should be atleast 2400mhz and that power supply is very budget quality.

the cpu cooler i know nothing about but you definitely want a quality cpu cooler

fix those 2 things and potentially that 3rd and it will be much closer to what you would expect with that price point... assuming it is still in the 1,200 range

That new one I posted is just below 1200. 1155 to be precise, so with those upgrades you said it will go over I think.. but atleast its progress!

Wow, thanks for the time put into this thread! GOD! I have built to those specs and it is only slightly over budget by 25.. I noticed you didn't add the keyboard and mouse that is needed as I don't have those, which is probably why you had under 1200 on yours... anything you can see which you put in that can have one downgrade maybe, which wouldn't effect the performance too much?

The problem with that site is that it doesnt allow you to pick anything other than overclockable setups when it comes to the i5 category. This practically forces you to go to the very extreme top-tier i5 build, even if you have no need for it. It's nice stuff, but the selection is just so slim. The one option that bugs me the most is that you can only go from a super-low-end power supply, to a super-high-end power supply. Unless you plan to overclock, you are basically spending way more than you need too. You aren't getting ripped off by the company though, as the parts are quality, it's just that it's wasted potential. It's like driving a Porsche way under the speed limit. lol

enough with my ranting though... get the 650watt modular power supply, as your only other option is way too cheap-oriented to pair with all the other top-tier parts.

get the 2666mhz ram because they don't offer 2400mhz for some odd reason.

What about 3000 mhz as Zerk2012 stated?

Must be a deal on, 3000 MHz is only like 1 pound more expensive.

That is 100% not true when using a Z board.
With the board and processor i listed it should be 3000 already if they set the speed if not then just enable XMP profile.

Everything I listed will work as advertised even the 3000 memory.
Buy a cheap keyboard and mouse, or use what you already have. You can upgrade those later but get the best PC you can first, I did leave the case and RGB lighting. If they set it up right you can change the RGB light colors with the board software.

I think I am going to go with what you have listed, seems like top specs for the price. What do you think video rendering will be like with these specs, speedy?

Anyway, thank you so much for the help! You and User11464! So glad I took to people who knew what they were doing before purchasing my original order! Would of found myself paying more money anyway, upgrading certain things pretty soon after buying it.
