I have a soyo 5EMA+ Motherboard, K6-III 450 (not a plus), 384 meg PC 100 SDRAM. Has anyone had any luck overclocking this processor? I know the FSB (on the motherboard) will go to 112mhz and the clock multiplier will do 5X but neither of these work. Soyo boards suck at how you have to change the voltage. It is labeled by processor and not by actual voltage settings. This makes it difficult to raise by increments. I haven't heard anything good about trying to overclock the K6-2's or 3's reliably.......unless it's a plus. What about anyone esle?

unfortunately those things are near impossible to OC. I have a K6-3 400 and it is SO picky. I have heard of people getting 50MHz more if they are extremely lucky, but I haven't been able to. Mine runs stable as all hell at 400 and 2.4V core, but anything else just kills it. I need to redo my water cooler heatsink to see if that helps. One guy got an extra 100MHz out of his old K6-2 using water cooling.
