K70 LUX Corsair Keyboard

I have a brand new high end desktop (windows 10 64 bit) but have a problem with my new LUX gaming keyboard.
My system boots up as normal but there is no output from my keyboard, however if I unplug and then replug in the keyboard it provides output and works normally.

Corsair suggested a soft keyboard reboot using the escape key, but this made no difference. All drivers and bios are up to date. Any suggestions??

Have you downloaded corsair icue software?

Yes downloaded and set up for static colour.The problem seems to occur after the modem boots up first thing in the morning. Once I unplug and replug it's OK for the rest of the day provided the modem stays on. Then the next day we go through the whole process again.
