I pulled out my old K800 logitech keyboard and started using it.

I see 2 problems with my keyboard:
  1. can't paste using the ctrl + V keys but found that shift + Insert keys will do the job of pasting.
  2. Shift + H keys doesn't work, however Shift + all other keys work fine, only the Shift + h to get an upper case H doesn't work, i am forced to use caps + h.

I've already cleaned the keyboard and still see the issue. I believe this has something to do with software or hardware issue. has anyone encountered this issue?

Solution
By clean, do you remove the keycaps from the keyboard's switches and clean them thoroughly with a fine bristle brush? I'd inspect what's under the keycaps of the two alphabets, H and V. Often times I find that there can be a stray fiber or debris impeding the switch underneath from actuating. If there's visibly nothing there, then the keyboard's switches have said goodbye.

To rule out the issue being software, try it out on another donor system. If the keyboard exhibits the same problem on donor system, then it's a hardware problem.
