The "2000 MT/s" is the Hypertransport speed, correct?

That mobo will support all current socket 939 processors, from the
3000 clocked at 1800 to the FX-55 clocked at 2600. There is no 939
processor clocked at 1600, unless you plan to underclock and that
should work fine.

The only AMD processors that run at 1600 are either socket 462, 754 or
940 (Opteron).

As already stated... all s939 CPUs have a 2000MT/s hypertransport link.

You seem to be confusing the CPU clock speed with the FSB speed (
Hypertransport ) This board should run any socket 939 Athlon 64/64FX (
some of the Athlon 64's were socket 754 ).

Sorry, I just realized that I am confused! I noticed that some of the
nforce chipset mb's use the 1600HT instead of the 2000HT. Since HT is
enabled in the chipset it should not make a difference which cpu you
use. Some of the mb's enable a choice of HT ratios.

This HT stuff is fairly confusing. The recent Micro Center ad's list
the Nforce3 & 4 as 1600HT and the Via KT800 as 2000HT.
