I belive this Hotfix has caused some problems with my
laptop. On starting XP home, the computer won't boot from
the hard drive without me pressing enter and when fired up
certain programs don't run properly - windows media player,
shareaza - and use high amounts of the cpu.

Press F8 at Startup and go into Safe Mode. Go into the Control Panel and
uninstall the offending Hotfix.

Reboot the PC.
