Current Build:
i7-7700k
GTX 1080 Strix
Strix Z270F MOBO
16GB Corsair 3000mhz
NZXT Kraken 280mm AIO
Corsair 460x Case
750W Corsair PSU

ACER 27" Predator 1440p 144hz G-Sync Monitor.

So I'm thinking about "Upgrading" my PC. Right now, the Micro Center by my house has a deal where you get 100$ off a 1700x when you bundle it with a motherboard. I was thinking about selling the 7700k, Strix Z270F Motherboard, NZXT Kraken 280MM AIO (The older one) and RGB strip.

The cost for the 1700x and motherboard would be around 350-400$.

I'll be doing some moderate video editing, streaming, gaming, and some programming. Would it be worth it? Or should I just go ahead and just be happy with my current set up. The reason I want to do this now is because the i7 7700k is still out performing the 1700x game wise, so I feel like I can sell it easily, but in the future the 1700x might be better. Let me know what you think!

Solution
Definitely keep 7700k. Overclocked 7700k will smash 1700x in 9/10 games. 1700x will be faster for editing and reviews showed little better for streaming.
Both CPUs are great but 1700x just not worth 400$, unless 400$ is not a big deal for you.
Well you could try to sell your 7700k and motherboard for around 250-300$ then it would be fine.
