I am building two new computers identical computers with these specs:

i7 6700k
GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-UD3
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400

I finished the first build and I got error 55 on the motherboard. I tried putting the other i7 in the build and got the same code. I now think it is the fact that the RAM is 2400mhz and the motherboard must overclock the RAM past 2133mhz. I do not know how to boot up to the BIOS to overclock the RAM to get the rig to work.

Does anyone have any ideas? Or other reasons for my problem?

I can rule out with 99% certainty that the RAM and CPU are not broken.

Solution
Error 55 relates to RAM.

To enter the BIOS with most mainboards it's F2 or Delete.

Set the XMP option in the BIOS to Profile 1.

A kit with two 16GB sticks might require more voltage. Find the VCCIO and VCCSA (System Agent) settings in the BIOS and increase them to 1.12v.
