So I left my computer on for lunch, came back to it partially frozen, moved cursor around, then whole Windows 8.1 froze. I hit hard restart and now it boots straight to BIOS.
My system is about 2 years old, on the top of my head, it has i5 cpu, ASROCK mobo, 8GB ram, EVGA power supply (only few months old), XFX 7870 gfx card, Windows 8.1, and Sandisk 256GB SSD.
What's odd is:
1) In BIOS, it won't let me go into the Boot Priority List option even though it's there
2) In the ASROCK BIOS, it has a system browser that shows what's connected to the mobo, I realized my Sandisk SSD is not showing up even when changing to different SATA port on mobo. My ASUS DVD rom shows up in the SATA port.
I'm guessing there's something wrong with my SSD or the SSD cord? Or there's something else at play here?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
