Hello! I have a very strange problem I thought I had fixed. But Nope . When i play a game of 300 fps normaly . But now i get 100-200 Fps
And when i turn on vsync
i get 50-60 fps. Its just really making me confused . Any thoughts what the problem can be? :/

Computer specs:
Intel(R) Core(TM) I7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
RAM: 8 GB
WINDOWS 10 64-bit (home version)
Geforce GTX 660

Vsync caps your framerate to your monitor's native refresh rate. Therefore, it will cap the FPS to 60 (usually the refresh rate for most monitors).

This gets rid of screen tearing and makes gaming more immersive. If your monitor supports more than 60Hz then there should be a way to change your Vsync settings depending on which game you are playing.

But your PC is doing exactly what it is supposed to do, so not really a problem at all.

he is saying its wierd because he can get 200 with vsync off but with vsync he gets 50 fps and not 60. and thats a little wierd.

my first guess would be check for a virus. then check your hardware temps

I did a test not long ago and this is what i got: (I droped from 60 fps to around 40-30 fps then)
