Keeps saying I have unauthorized Edition

So my ex build me a rig with Windows 7 because that was the best one and he said 10 was horrible but so that's what I got. I'm pretty sure he did it with a bootleg copy of Windows 7 cuz I don't know what I'm doing like for computers. I just know he didn't want me to do 10. Will it keep saying that it is an unauthorized copy and it won't stop saying that and the screen is all black. Not really sure how to fix it because he's not in the picture anymore to help and didn't know if I could reach out for some advice

The fix is to buy a legal license for Windows.

Windows 10 is not horrible. It's pretty OK actually.
