Or less, as speculation states that the 680 just may well have been the 670Ti, judging by the performance comparison of both the 670 and 680.

True... I am happy with my current rig though! Have previous generations been this fun with the price wars and what not?

Though I'm pretty sure I read somewhere before release that the coolers on the 670s were more budget than the 680s, but meh, what does it matter, I'll be watercooling them. Once I find a job, that is.

high cost but not as high as in AU :S

Inno3D 670 refs are going for $479 here in AU, 😀

I think you have to keep in mind that it's priced the same as the 7950, but no one in their right mind is considering buying one of those right now. Better than a 7970 for $80 less, that's a pretty good price.

TRUE!!! Everyone who said NVIDIA was a crappy company and that AMD owned Nvidia are wrong the AMD cards are going to drop in price again. I do have to admit I was a little scared when the NVIDIA didn't release its new card for a while.

Why haven't the 580s dropped in price yet? 500 for a 580 more like 275 for a 580.

Eh, well there you have it; your NV/AMD fanboys, I don't get it, they're both pretty much neck and neck and yet people still have to bicker over which one is better, I mean, it's not like it's Windows vs Macs ..that which actually makes sense.

Edit: I'm asking the same things about the 580s myself.

Does anybody know where the rest of the 600s card are? For example the GT 645? The release dates on websites say it should have already been released, but the only cards out are the monster 690, 680 and 670. Where are the rest of them? When will they get to newegg?

Oh yeah, by the way NV's going to be rebranding the 500 series as 600 series cards, so be careful.

GTX 660 ti will be out later in the year along with a GTX 650 ti but the GT series are currently OEM only

Hilarious, and so true... was mal referring to me? I wasn't trying to sound like a fan boy, I just meant both companies are doing well. I suspect AMD made a ton of money selling the 7970s and 7950s for so high a price.

If you paid $500 for a GTX 680, be happy, you get one of the most powerful GPUs in the market and the only line with power for run Unreal Engine 4. Who would know that GTX 670 will perform as good as is doing? ( 😗 )

Enjoy your GPU, if it's a GTX 680 or GTX 670, at the end, you will find the same thing: Both are expensive compared with the price/performance of next generation.

True the 680 and 670 are awesome cards. I cant believe the value of a 670, too bad I cant SLI a 680 and 670.

I'm buying from Australia unfortunately, so there's little hope for non-inflated prices..GTX 680s 4Gb models go for as much as $829 here.

There's currently only two available, Gigabyte's windforce version for $519 and Inno3D's one for $479 --670 that is.

I feel you man... Saw a 690 for $1600 AUD, whichd be about the same in USD
