That box is probably the reason for the $999 price tag. If I do end up ordering one I'm going to tell them to just brown bag it for me and maybe I can save a few bucks! :-D (sarcasm btw)

Yea, hopefully stock will get better. But until Samsung becomes the official foundry for NVIDIA for this time around... were gonna see shortages. I think i will stay home from work this time for release of the rest of the 600 series

hmm.......... NVIDIA, Again NVIDIA, NVIDIA Again, NVIDIA again.... INTEL!. Yea i am not fully NVIDIA fan boy but i do admire the company even tho their logo's and products are basically in everything i have. I just love the company

shame on whoever "created" those benchmarks. look at the metro from the top graph (680 vs 690) to the bottom one (single 690 vs SLI) why is the top one 60 fps but the bottom is 30 (single 690)?

i've already heard something about the 690 will be faster than 2 GTX680. also early speculation suggest that the 660ti will be based on GK106 but the latest rumor suggest it still based on GK104. did nvidia adopting one chip strategy for their high-end/mid range cards just like they did with tegra?

i heard that the partnership with samsung is more for their tegra business. for the discrete gpu side i don't think they have other choice other than TSMC. at least for now
