Yea, I was told the 590 barely handles BF3. At high res that is... If it even struggles at 1080p... well then i don't recommend anyone buy it. a GTX 670 in your system i can already tell you, its going to be similar to 590... Or even a 680. a 680 is right behind and sometimes ahead of a 590. But to end the confusion ill be sure and run some test tonight

sure gtx 590 has only 1.5 gb vram and usese a lot of power ...

well i saw some videos with gtx 670 on multiplayer and they got 40-60 fps .... 40 fps only for 1 or 2 secons in critical situations ... so it will be smooth for be anyway :) ...

try to benchmark krakand maps and situation when you face whole map ^^ if it won't go below 40 ... then it will be ideal card for me :)

Hey dark, since my main department is Graphics and Displays and am Bronze certified (lol). I can tell you that even if a card dips down to 35 fps and back up to stable frames, your gaming experience will still be smooth. have you tried the new features from NVIDIA?

1 you have access to in the latest driver is Adaptive Vsync. This feature harnesses the performance at sets it at a level you want it so you never have to worry about frames. You won't see it go over your refresh rate and shouldn't see it go below your refresh rate often.

With the GTX 600 series, you now can set a Frame rate target with NVIDIA's tier 1 partner, EVGA. EVGA Precision X enables you to set the frame rater area you want, and GPU boost will take the usage that is being held and boost it to keep that steady frame rate giving smooth visuals.

Check youtube for a more indeph video, It was announced with the GTX 680

Adaptive Vsync.. will be ideal for me because i paly on 32 inc Tv with 60hz .... and i hate tearing ... oh and one more thing .... for 600 series there is still beta drivers ... is there any chance that after new drivers for example from 35 dips i will went to 40 or even 45 dips only ? im mean will it affect minimum framerates to :) ?
as i know nvidia givs like 10-15% performance boos for echan new series from old driver to the last ^^ sorry for my english , but i hope i said everything not far from logic :))

Yes, NVIDIA will be coming out with a driver soon. I am a member over at the NVIDIA forums as well and found there was a recent leak of Driver 301.40. But was unreleased and now the people that use it work with the driver team to fix any buggs or issues. So we should expect to see a driver soon. AND yes it will be WHQRL not a beta driver.

This driver is expected to be primarily for the 600 series and will boost performance by a long shot. Some people are still disappointed with the performance from the 600 series, but what Geforce cards performance relies on is the Drivers. It has good software to boost performance. Expect to see these new drivers over the coming weeks.

as i remmber same problems had 500 series to :) and my friend got like 15%-20% performance boost .. even 35% on some games with gtx 580 :)

it's good that they can optimize thier cards so good for games .... really good programmer ^^

Don't dream boy, work hard for that 😉

i was bored from php and now switched to ARC GIS ^^ hope it has good perspectives to ^^

now about kelper cards ....

if compare 200 series to 400 and 500 series .. well gtx 285 is like gtx 460 and has only 240 shaders ... now gtx 580 is slower then 670 sure but it has 512 shaders vs 1344 .... seems like each new arcitecture has weaker and weaker shader ... i think it's because of lowering power consuption .... but if it goes in the future with same logic ... i think we will see soon nvidia cards who will have weaker shaders then amd cards :)))

Well here is how i see it, With every new architecture, the cards that were mid range from previous generations are basically the low ends of the next architecture. The high end become the mid range of the next gen.

I'm currently using the 301.40's and they are much smoother at Skyrim than the previous 301.34's. So far they are a nice upgrade for my rig.

301.40 is going to be a WHQRL from NVIDIA. Or so i was told. I did a search and 301.40 was leaked as a beta for some people so it could be beta. But i checked with one of the Geforce forums Technical Support Representative and he said they were WHQRL i think.

I was too late to preorder and the first batch sold out, but I was able to preorder one from the 2nd batch, which is due to arrive at PCCG's warehouse on Monday and then my house the next day, or the day after.

Chances are I'll probably have to pick it up from the post office..All thanks to school :/

Yea i hear ya. well its worth the wait bro. Once you have it you will know!

I bet it is 😀 Now I just gotta get either one of my Crysis games back from my friend :kaola:
And eager to see what gameplay on AvP's going to be like too (on very high settings of course!), next week is going to be interesting :pt1cable:

I should be getting my 670 this afternoon here too. I am curious about the frame limiter that Nvidia has now implemented. I ordered the Gigabyte card, does each vendor now have their own overclock program/utility now? Can I use any of them or do I need to use the one for my card?
