Hi all,

I recently installed a m.2 NVMe (Crucial P5 Plus) into my PC and now I am getting blue screens on every boot. I attempted to reinstall windows 10 on the new SSD, it got to 65% and started blue screening again. My PC worked completely fine prior to this and it was a brand new SSD ordered from Amazon. One thing I found odd was that when I went into my BIOS, the new ssd was the only boot option and my existing ssd was not an option. I checked to ensure all cables were seated properly, booted again and same issue.

I removed the m.2, reinstalled windows and it is working properly again. As soon as I put the m.2 in, I'm back to blue screening.

Any advice? Thank you.

its probable the boot method used was different and your old drive was formatted as MBR, and the new one was GPT.

Sounds like the new ssd is bad.
