I am getting this error. Can someone who knows exactly what to do have a look at the MiniDump and source out what the error is please and tell me the exact fix for the problem.

That is an unusual BSOD code to get, I will get a friend to check the dump files for me

Update Nvidia drivers, that BSOD can be caused by them.

Try running memtest86 on each of your ram sticks, one stick at a time, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors. - just a precaution as its an odd error code.

Done it a few months ago but this week it happened again and again... 7/8 and counting...

All I am doing is using Chrome and not playing any games. Though I did have Norton before it expired and then on Sunday I installed Bullguard Antivirus and on Tuesday / Wednesday it started happening again.

Laptop is just over a year old and not done any driver updates since I got it which I know is highly recommended to do so.

MSI motherboards can use Live Update 6 but not sure about laptops.

you could download driverview, open view tab and set it to hide all microsoft drivers, and take a screenshot. Upload that to an image sharing website and show link here... or just use site you using already. It will give me an idea what drivers might be at fault.. maybe. its a start while I wait for gardenman to reply (he likely asleep now)

Intel GPU drivers - newer version on MSI website. Website has version 23.20.16.5038 , PC has version 22.20.16.47..

could also update these:

card reader drivers showing as Win 7 drivers but as there aren't any newer, i doubt they problem here.

everything else seems up to date. or has newer driver versions than whats on MSI website

just trying to figure out how to remove it?

So is there any additional information from anyone? Correct update link for the motherboard?

When doing the update then will that mean the error will fully 100% go completely?

Done many updates in the past but don't think I've done a BIOS one.

Do I need both of them files or just the BIOS and not the Intel ME FW Update Tool ???

I wouldn't update the bios unless you continue to get BSOD after removing the norton program. from what i can understand of the crash, it was internet related so its likely the norton driver or Killer internet drivers were the cause.

I have to assume the firmware update guide is included in the bios zip file?

unusual of MSI to not have a video showing how to update the bios. Quickstart guide isn't much help. So far only video I can find is in Polish

I got that Killer Control Center and comes up with No Killer Network Interfaces Connected.

When it started happening again I was away at a Travellodge but now as I am back home on a 100% secure connection, it still does it. If that is any help as to why it's happening.

Done it twice today since removing all Norton items.

It wouldn't have anything to do with Bullguard Antivirus would it as before I installed it (last Sunday), it only just done it once and no more since then.

the error sequence mentions NETIO.sys, that is the driver windows uses for Network Input Output so something network related is involved. It could be bullguard, since crashes did start after you installed it. But as you say it had happened before in the past, its likely something else.

Wifi. Never used the other on this laptop. Used a different connection on this laptop (un secure) before then last year and that was completely fine then.

I rather not do that method as I probably would end up doing something wrong. I'll try uninstalling Bullguard and go back to Norton and see what happens.

well, the intel wifi drivers you have are newer than what is on MSI website, probably came from Microsoft.

@PC Tailor might be able to scan files and see something more?

Alas, very few updates every guarantee they will fix problems, I wish they did.

I can understand reluctance to run verifier, it just makes it harder to find the cause unless a BSOD mentions it.
What I normally do is replace really old drivers as they more likely to blame than newer ones

I have noticed the following whether they are related to your issue or not - @Colif and others can add more detail:

• The NETIO system driver was in the stack leading up to the crash, it is highly likely this could be a factor causing the crash (as Colif has already stated)
• You have a mix of Norton / Malwarebytes / Bullguard - and even 1 Bitdefender sub product. It is very common for multiple antimalware softwares to cause conflictions.
• The MWAC.sys (MalwareBytes Web Access Control) driver is a common cause of various BSOD.
• Your BIOS version may be out of date - and if so, this may also be the same for your Intel Management Enginer Driver.

More details can be found on the report - I have not included the full Analyze report as this will undoubtedly be covered by Gardenmans report.

The bitdefender module is part of Bullguard, its used by a few AV products. not unusual. Bitdefender seem to share their detection libraries (probably a paid service) as they have a high detection rate. Gardenman & I have seen that already, we marked as such in paste file
