Question Keyboard acts up when I put it in my lap.

When on my keyboard tray, my Nulea keyboard works just fine. When I put it on my lap. less than a foot away, the keys start doubling letters, not typing letters or gets very laggy. It's annoying. I have a TP-Link 5.0 Bluetooth received plugged into the USB port at the top front of the PC. I've tried switching ports. Any thoughts? The batteries in the keyboard are good.
