My keyboard is being disabled by Windows XP on win bootup. Device manager
says windows loaded the driver but can't see the hardware. Does anyone have
any ideas?

You haven't said what sort of keyboard - if it's a wireless keyboard - tried
1/ checking the batteries
2/ changing channel to connect to receiver?

Are you posting using the problem pc? If not, try an old-style PS2 keyboard
into the PS2 port (or, USB keyboard into USB port - this should be picked up
and installed as generic. That should get the pc functional while you try
other solutions.
