I recently bough a new gaming mechanical keyboard (CM STORM Quickfire PRO) along with some parts for a new PC build. The keyboard arrived first, so to test it, I plugged it into my ASUS laptop and it works greatly! One time the laptop went to sleep, and when I came I pressed a bunch of keys on the keyboard but it wouldn't wake up, so I pressed something on my laptops keyboard and it immediately woke up, it then made a sound a thing said that all drivers were successful and it the keyboard continued to work.
I then went into the bios, and tried using the keyboard, I got nothing. The leds on the keyboard didn't work and it wouldn't respond at all. When I booted into the OS it worked regularly.
What I'm worried about is that when I get my new PC I wont be able to boot into the bios, and change the settings so I can select the proper boot drive and install the OS. And Im also worried that I wont be able to use the keyboard through the installation.
What do you think? Is the problem with the keyboard? Or is there something I need to change in the bios in order to make it work.
