I apologize if this is in the wrong section. I am still getting the hang here.
Okaay so I have been following this site for a long time and in 90% of cases I managed to fix my issues by following the advice found here.
However, this one time I cannot fix my issue most likely because none of the posts I found resemble it 100%. SO here it goes.
Last August (2013.) I bought a new computer, installed Windows 7 but I kept my old keyboard and mouse. Now till about a month ago my keyboard had been working perfectly. These days however, it's making most of my WASD games unplayable. It started a month ago with Neverwinter Online and some FPS. While playing, one of the moving keys (WASD) would simply get stuck and my character would continue walking, running or in general moving as if the key was still being pressed on. Now my issue to begin with is that this does NOT stop after a few sec nor am I able to stop it every time. Sometimes, by pressing some other key rapidly, my computer will make a "beep" sound and things would get back to normal. Other times it will make the beep sound but NOTHING changes. In fact it gets worse. My keyboard stops responding and so does my mouse. I cannot Esc, I cannot Alt+F4 nothing! I cannot use my mouse etc...The only thing I can do is restart the whole computer. This issues went in the worst way when I tried Prtotype a few weeks ago. It would appear every few min or would appear after 30 min and so on, I couldn't predict it. The problem does NOT appear when writing, chatting, searching no! Only when I play games which need WASD to move. The same issue I have with Deadpool as well. The games are literally unplayable! I haven't tried using arrow keys but it seems that arrow keys are less affected though it still appears only not so often. I cannot predict when it will happen nor whether I will be able to stop it or will have to restart the computer. I cannot see any particular time or moment that I can bring into connection. It can appear when I am in a crowd, when using multiply keys, when using only a few keys to move and so on. I cannot connect it to anything!
Now I have tried all the solutions I have found so far but nothing works. My Sticky keys are not enabled nor is anything else form that section, my directx is updated to the newest version, my drivers are updated to the newest version, I have cleaned my keyboard, I have cleaned and checked my computer for viruses, malware, nothing nothing helps and I am getting desperate because I don't want to purchase a new keyboard if the problem is in some setting or worse, in the CPU or similar. The computer is new and clean so this is really frustrating, especially since I never experienced this issue on my old computer which was faaar weaker. And it's strange that is started happening only recently. The only thing I noticed is that some games are better while other are worse, Prototype and Deadpool being the worst I have experienced so far, Assassin's Creed is working ok for some reason but those are only examples.
I am sorry for a long post but I have looked everywhere and nothing I found works, nor have I found a post that completely resembles mine. I don't really know what to do anymore. I am using a Standard PS/2 Genius keyboard and it never appeared faulty until now.
