Keyboard not working while in games.

Ok... Here we go...

This morning, I was gaming just fine. I came home from work and now my keyboard, which obviously works fine, as I am writing this, decides that it doesn't want to work in any games I load up. ( Civ5 and a few MMORPGs).

I found another thread which gave this as a possible solution:

Right click on your USB Keyboard, go to Properties, then the Hardware tab.

Highlight USB Input Device (this is the part that doesn't show up under Device Manager) and click on Properties. Click on Change settings.

Go to the Power Management tab and uncheck 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'

I'm at a total loss. I thought maybe it might have to do with 'Steam' as two of the games are through there, but it also does it with other games I play that are not through Steam.

This is my system. I've only had it for 5 days.

PS., I use a Logitech K350 USB Keyboard (Wireless), but have also tried my Logitech K120 USB Keyboard (wired) which gave me the same results as above. I wish I could at least test a serial port keyboard to see if the issue remains.

Did you try switching your input language to english-us ? Many games still have horrible/non-existent support for multicharacter inputs (and really bad ones like Saints Row games flat out crash!).

I set up Win 10 this past Wednesday, with English-US as my language. Had been playing these games right along since then. Now out of nowhere, my keyboard doesnt work inside games. I can't alt-tab out, can't use the Windows key, can't ctrl-alt-delete, either. Luckily on a few I can exit the games using the mouse.

If you installed the Logitech drivers for the keyboard, look for newer drivers or uninstall them and let Windows deal with installing drivers.
If you let Windows put in the drivers, try Logitech's

Thanks Dudio! I installed the Logitech drivers -then- followed the advice of Coman Alexandru and.... All is well once more! Thanks to you both!

At this point, you may want to set up Windows Updates to alert you to updates, but not automatically install them so you can review what updates there are. You can unselect Logitech drivers there and avoid future issues.

i have the same problem,when m playing games my keyboard becomes unresponsive sometimes after 2 minutes and sometimes after two hours.
then not a single key works,in the end i have to restart my computer,i already restarted it 30-40 times,so m also sacred that my window may also get corrupt.
can anybody help me?
