Hi everyone, so I've had a Roccat Isku FX gaming keyboard for about a year now and it used to work just fine with the gaming software that it came with, I could adjust buttons to my liking and other things like the lighting. However a while ago certain things stopped working, the additional keys that gaming keyboard comes with aren't working (e.g. M1, M2, M3 buttons) aswell as the music control buttons. I'm unable to access the software as well, it simply wont start after multiple re installations and restarts.

I know this sounds like a specific problem for the brand etc however the reason I'm posting here is because after looking around in the device manage settings, I've noticed that my keyboard shows up as a simple HID Keyboard Device, now, i'm unsure of whether this is normal or not. Perhaps it's only being recognized as a simple stock keyboard and that's why additional buttons and software aren't working.

Additionally, I tried uninstalling the latest drivers the I obtained from the Roccat website and went to device manager and tried to search for the latest drivers online that way but it simply said the HID keyboard was up to date. Which obviously it was not because I uninstalled the latest drivers.

Does anyone know if this could be the issue? That my keyboard just isn't being recognized as anything more than a gaming keyboard.Are there any solutions to this?

The issue is pertaining to the OS not recognizing your keyboard. If you're on Windows 10 which I'm sure you are as you've stated a hardware being functional one minute then malfunctioning the next then the best course of action is to perform a system restore prior to when the issue cropped up. It's possible that the mandatory windows update(alongside your automatic device driver update) has caused the device drivers to go missing. Remove your keyboard from Device from Device Manger and install your drivers henceforth but do so manually and not rely on Windows to do it for you. If you reboot it will install generic drivers which you don't want(the cause of the issue).

Speaking of Windows, disable the automatic device driver update feature.

You can try installing your drivers in compatibility mode though;
Right click installer>Properties>Compatibility Tab>Windows 7/8 [drop down menu]

Could you also pass on your full systems specs?
