Hey guys :)

So I broke my Kraken 7,1 recently and now I'm looking for a new headset. I mainly play CS:GO and good sound quality, surround sound and a good microphone is important to me. I've found the Kingston HyperX Cloud II. It has great reviews and I like it a lot, the only thing that bothered me was the quality of the mic. It seemed a bit off for some reason.
Also through watching streams I found the Plantronics GAMECOM 788. These are a lot cheaper and people say they are really good for their price, but I'm not sure about their build quality etc.
I wanted to consult, before spending my money. Which one should I buy? Ignore the price, I would appreciate if you gave a couple of pros and cons to each headset. Also I would appreciate if you list any other headsets that are good for competitive CS:GO.
Thank you and have a nice day 😛

I would definitely go for Kingston HyperX Cloud II as they are really good. The mic might sound wierd but that is due to the fact that it has noise cancellation.
SteelSeries Siberia V2 is another good option great sound quality and mic
Another very good headset is Logitech G35 which is very comfortable but not as the Cloud II ,it has Surround Sound like the Cloud II .
I am planning to buy the Cloud II but the G35 made it even harder to decide so I am still searching. In the end it actually depends on looks as the difference is very small.

Did u buy any of these? My bro has the GAMECOM 788 and I had a chance to test them out, and I was really surprised. I own Siberia v2 FrostBlue and I am very satisfied with it, but lack of the 7.1 surround bothers me, bcuz now I am mostly playing FPS (BF3, Titanfall, CS:GO here and there)

About HyperX I heard many things, but I have never found someone said anyhting "major bad" about the 788.

I actually got the Hyper X and to be honest the quality is good, but not sure if it is only for me but the mic was scratched(a bit) and that is about it.The sound is pretty good and with the 7.1 surround it only amplifies the background sound.
