Kingston HyperX Fury on Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3?

I recently acted like a dumbass and physically destroyed one of my old RAM blocks, so I had to buy some new ones to replace the broken wreckage. The most cost efficient option was the 2x8 GB Kingston HyperX Fury 1866 MHz (CL10) set, but once I installed the RAM on my mobo (GA-Z68XP-UD3) it kinda went south. Power up, fan spins up for all of 0.5 seconds and then it powers down again. I assume there's some incompatibility, but I can't set the memory voltage manually on this card (It's a Sandy Bridge dealio, which I guess means it takes 1.5v only?).

Is there any way to make this set work with my motherboard. I am not a complete speed freak, so whether or not the board will downclock the RAM is not a huge concern- I just want something that works and is spacious enough.

Any wise input will be greatly appreciated, and here's to hoping I won't have to return these gorgeous looking sticks. Thanks in advance, and excuse me for any non-standard wording in this post.

Thanks for the swift reply, I appreciate it a lot. However...

I unplugged my rig, removed my lonely GeIL block, touched a screwdriver to the CMOS reset pins for a bunch of seconds, inserted my Furys and plugged it back in. Same result: The fans just barely spin up before the blasted thing shuts down and this keeps cycling until I flip the main switch off.

So I checked the BIOS- it's the newest version (F10). Daring to set the voltage to 1.65 despite the warnings I've read online doesn't change a thing. I can boot with my old RAM running on 1.65 but when I re-enter the BIOS it tells me that there was a boot problem due to the changes I made.

The Fury operate off PnP, and the support has been in the chipsets going back to the original P67, question is if GigaByte ever wrote it into their BIOS, most Z68 came with in effect an entry level BIOS and never really got the suport written in that should have been, might contact GB but doubt they have any plans to do anything, best bet may be to exchange the DRAM for a more conventional XMP set, the Ripjaws X and Sniper lines were good on the Z68 mobos

I feared it might be completely impossible, which is very unfortunate. I have just written GB about the problem, so we'll see what they have to say, if they ever do reply. If all else fails then I'll have to return these pretty little things (don't even know how well that'd go) and get something altogether uglier, which is heartbreaking.
So if you have any 100% verified suggestions for some RAM that's compatible with this mobo AND doesn't have an unsightly metal Klingon weapon attached to it then it'd be greatly appreciated. Reason being my CPU heatsink is rather wide and gets along really badly with heat spreaders that jut out more than a few mm beyond the PCB.

...oh, by the way- is this problem caused by how the BIOS is written or is it a physical limitation? If it's the former, are there any 3rd party BIOS options that might have this functionality fixed?

I only wasted one of my GeIL sticks. The second is quite all right, although only a 4 GB affair, so it's quite the underachiever. It's an Evo Corsa, and having just looked it up, that apparently runs at 1.65v as well, so I really can't work out why my board doesn't wanna play nice with the Kingston set.
