Kingston USB 3.0 8GB ridiculously slow

I have the latest drivers and a msi gaming 7 z97 motherboard, and using a usb 3.0 memory stick in a usb 3.0 slot.

On this memory stick I am trying to use XAMPP on it with the laravel framework. My external hdd works fine. But to install xampp (150mb estimate) it took the usb over 4 hours!
The memory stick takes forever to do anything. But when I am transferring a large file e.g. a 4gb ISO it does it at decent speeds.

I am currently running the USB flash benchmark test.

and the average write sped is 4.7mb/s at 16mb file and 41.24mb/s read speed.
But it decreases as it goes down obviously, and these speeds aren't that bad. Any reason why this maybe happening?

I have two of these memory sticks and it does the same for both?

I would post the test but it still has 5 test left, will post later if no-one knows why.

@Sakkura sorry for slow reply had to go into town with the missus.

I am using Kingston Data Traveler 3.0 8GB https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-DTIG4-8GB-Technology-... is the link. I didn't do much research as all i'm using it for is submitting my web application for my University assignment.

But when i try to start up xampp or do a cmd command on it or log-in or submit a form it takes sooooo long lmao :/

some benchmarks:
1kb average write = 0.08MB/S
1kb average read = 0.11MB/S

4kb average write = 0.27MB/S
4kb average read = 0.87MB/S

16kb average write = 0.41MB/S
16kb average read = 0.51MB/S

64kb average write =1.14MB/S
64kb average read = 4.70MB/S

256kb average write = 2.31MB/S
256kb average read = 7.68MB/S

512kb average write = 3.55MB/S
512kb average read = 49.41MB/S

And the higher ones are around the same speed as 512kb

should this be expected?
I know its a cheap memory stick but causing these issues is ridiculous on usb3 lmao!?

Kind of a shame really :/ thanks for clarifying that was worried i was messing it up ... any reccomendations that on a 8GB memory stick from amazon that has good read/write speeds for XAMPP ???

I ended up going with: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-Extreme-Flash-Drive-245MB/dp/B00DZPUOU8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1462138968&sr=8-2 much better speeds it's best usb on userbenchmark: http://usb.userbenchmark.com/SanDisk-Extreme-USB-30-16GB/Rating/1301

thanks for your help anyway
