After many years accessing through AOL, yeah, yeah...no comments
there....they finally closed their portal to the newsgroups. At least I can
save the money from that provider each month. I'll be accessing through my
primary account now. Ducalguard will no longer be posting here and the
account you now see is the one that I will access through.

Are you saying AOL members can no longer post to usenet without an
external account? Does this mean September may be nearing its end?
For soe reason, it seems September had a few more days this year
than it used to.

I can't believe you didn't read about this! AOL will no longer support
newsgroups. It's too much hassle for too little use. Personally I think
their programmers finally just admitted they couldn't get newsgroups to work
worth a spit thru the AOL portal.

There's nothing wrong with Web TV, that a few bullets to the brains of the
users couldn't fix...

Oh yeah, I forgot about Google groups.

As long as there is Google groups there will be posts with no quoted context
and messed up subject lines.

September will live on in Usenet forever!!!
