Hello, I have download and burned the knopix iso.
I"m using windows XP pro OS, and my question is : if i boot using knopix cd, will use knopix , than remove the knopix cd from my cdrom, will windows stay intact? will it work fine?

yes, Knoppix doesn't touch the existing OS. Other than a swap file it doesn't touch the hard drive unless you save application data.

ps. You may also want to try Gnoppix (Gnome desktop)

The Pen is mightier than the Sword, but the Sword is better if you need back up.

Well I ran it and it went smooth and looked really really cool :) I needed it for programming with c, I used to connect a unix server from window's telnet and edit my files with pico!@# that was insane :) well now its really kick ass :)

I downloaded it and burned it as a boot CD.
but the problem is it did NOT run after i boot by CD-rom
what can I do????

Well, what did it actually do? Any errors or anything? Did you burn it as a disk image rather than a filesystem? eg, when you put it in your PC and open the CD, does it show a bunch of files, or does it show 1 file named <whatever>.iso?
