Kodak printer ready status

My Kodak printers status changed to offline, I managed to change it to ready but unable to change it to online to enable me to print, I am a novice in these matters, I have windows8, Help please.

Under Printers and Devices, right click the Kodak printer and set it as your default. Check and see if you can print after doing so.

Thanks,The printer was / is set as the default printer and says Ready but will not print.

Under Printers and Devices, try removing the printer and adding it back again as a new printer.

Thanks Again, just to say I tried but was unable to remove the printer myself.
Took it into the shop and there was a print job stuck which corrupted something,they did indeed remove and restore the printer and all is well,hope that made sense,it didn't to me.

I get screwy issues every so often with Windows 8 and HP printers. I've had to remove and re-add printers in the past to fix the problem. I just think it's something they haven't quite worked out yet with Windows 8. I'm actually running 8.1 and haven't seen the issue as often since the update. Are you on 8.1?

I am on windows 8, have to say it's taking me a while to get used to it, I am no expert on anything technical so Rely on sites such as this.
Touch wood the printer is still working well.
