Kraken x42 overheating cpu

I have recently installed the kraken x42 onto my cpu, with my old cheap cooler it ran smooth, but I just wanted the look, but now the kraken is causing performance issues and cpu temperatures to rise above 80, I dont know if this is due to me not installing it correctly or some other issue, I'm really confused :/

In silent mode the x42 sucks but in performance mode it gets about an equal to the D14. What was your old heatsink because in silent even the cryorig H7 can give it a good run for only $30ish.
