You could use both monitors to make a 3D widescreen view however. Good for DVD or games.

Also, the DVD playback and 3D would allow for future games to use that (3D pilot who gets video messages while piloting, video com systems, ect). One of the demos for Hydravision shows a user playing MS Flightsim in one monitor, and having all the controls on the other, giving for extra space and extra functionality.

AGP 8X allows for other things as well as simply dual AGP slots. It will be worthwhile for single video card users as well.

the only time you will see a real difference is when you crank up the fsb, lower the multiplier, and run sychronously with the PC2700 ram and use the 1/5 PCI divider to keep PCI/AGP in spec.

so one needs either an unlocked CPU or one able to handle an overclock of 25%.

Also, PC2700 has yet to hit the mainstream in any quanitiy. sure its around but most common stores dont stock it yet. quality and useability at 333 also is a bit haphazard... but its gettting better.

so really a change to the KT400 aint gonna be happening soon. PC3200 ram only exists in 2 forms, kingmax pc3200 (experimental stage) or OCZ 3300. dont even know if PC3200 will ever become a real JDEC standard or not.

and once again, one will have to overclock their CPU in order to get any real advantage out of it.

allthough the kt400 will introduce 2 nice things, USB2.0 and 533mb/sec vlink.

P.S. we are unlikely to ever see any more KTxxx & KTxxxA type revisions...
as most people will rightly think that the 'non-A' version is crap, and wait for the A.

Anything i think of as 'Decent' is unlikely to ever become 'OEM'

True enough...Im waiting for Hammer before I decide what to get next, but I may break down at some point and get something else if its delayed. Itll be my longest wait for an upgrade in years =/

I am not saying it would be a wide audiance, however I enjoy watching movies while playing games. Currently I have a second computer playing movies, but its wasting CPU cycles there!

thats crazy, i never played games while watching a movie, when i play games i BLAST!!!! my speakers, so i would be able to hear the movie! lol
