Gonna take a risk and try to run a Duron 1800Mhz on my KT7a. What are the
multiplier settings and other CPU settings needed in the BIOS?

Any other settings that are known to work well?

I got the same thing

Believe it or not the multiplier is 9

Wont work on any other.

But won't that be then running at 1200MHz?
9 * 133 = 1196..

I have a Duron 1600 (default unlocked core), running at 12,5*133 = 1662MHz.
My cpu has default core multiplier of 12. I run at maximum possible setting
in bios, that's 12,5.

Wes told that if your cpu has default core multiplier of 13 or higher, AND
it's unlocked, bios lets you choose multiplier up to 23? I have no option to
confirm this.

See if your bios support higher rate.

The bios will still show the old values since it knows nothing about the
higher multipliers and doesn't even know about the 5th (8x) multiplier
bit. There's a cross reference table at the site below. But I'm pretty
sure it won't matter with his 1800 Duron as it's surely locked.

I had to try them all and found that it works at 9, thats what you see but
not what it is.

I am running mine at 2000 with the fsb bumped up 15
