I am trying to find the right hardware to achieve what I need.

I have
  1. A desktop computer
  2. A Dell XPS 9560 Laptop
  3. A Lenovo T490
Both laptops support USB-C

The peripherals that need to be shared are:
  1. Up to 3 4k monitors
  2. Single Wireless Keyboard (Logitech MX Keys)
  3. Single Wireless Mouse (Logitech MX Anywhere 2S)
  4. USB Printer
  5. I am not sure if I can also have ethernet for all through this hardware
Lastly
  • I wish to swap between computers with a keyboard hotkey
  • Both Laptops should be charging through that hardware

Is there hardware that supports all of those criteria? What do I need to use?

You have two major problems:
  • find out how to get 3 HDMI outputs from each system;
  • find 3x3 KVM switch.
First task is probably solvabl - the laptops seem to be from business line, so proper docking statins should be available. However, 3x3 KVM switch, even if it exists, will cost as much as one of the computers (couple of days ago someone asked for 2x3, and a suggestion was $300 device).

The printer should be best setup as a shared network printer.

Have you though about having one of these systems as "main", and remote-desktop-ping into the others?

I really don't want to remote desktop because of the noticeable lower fps/lag

Is there maybe something clever I could do with daisy chaining, a couple of docking stations and a 2x2 KVM?

I'm trying to figure it, but I'm not sure it makes sense
