I got a new pc Lenovo m91p that came with a usb keyboard and mouse and windows 7 installed
That works fine
The current computer has an Asrock 775i65G motherboard that has USB 2.0 ports but I am currently using it with ps/2 mouse and keyboard dual booted to windows xp and 98 although mainly just xp now
I wanted to use both pcs from time to time without having to switch over all the cables so I bought a KVM switch KVM-21UA thinking that it would solve the problem
Previously I had a KVM switch that was ps/2 type and worked fine

The problem with this new usb KVM is that it's not recognized by bios when booting up but yet after windows loads up it finds and installs the drivers and it all works fine
The question is how can I get the Asrock motherboard work with the new KVM switch and the usb keyboard ?
Maybe someone here can tell me
Using the ps/2 keyboard I was able to get into bios and enabled usb legacy and I got the USB keyboard to work in bios when booting but when I connect it to the KVM it still doesn't work in bios
Maybe someone here can tell me how this usb KVM is supposed to work because apparently this is more than just a simple switch like a direct connection from the motherboard through the kvm switch

Solution
How often do you need to go into the BIOS? When you do, just switch over the keyboard directly to the PC, use it and put it back.

Check with the KVM vendor for support to see why you are seeing what you are. I've seen many issues with KVMs not detecting keyboards/mice properly unless you go though a very specific boot order.
